Women's Rugby

The Sirens are back into the ERU’s Womens 2nd Division after playing an exhibition schedule for the last couple of years.

kathy williamsonWith the season staring on May 8th, 2010, outdoor practices have started for the Men's 2nd/3rd division teams and the Women's 2nd division team.  All practices are at Macklin Field (102 Ave & 93 St.) on Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm.  The spring and summer months looks to be dominated by rugby as the club has about 37 games lined up between the three teams.

The 3rd annual high school season also kicks into gear on May 6, 2010 and concludes with the finals on June 5, 2010.  A school from the 4 team will also have the opportunity to represent the Peace Country at provincials on June 11th, 2010.  The four schools vying for the title this year are St. Joes, Peace Wapiti Academy, Sexsmith, and the Composite High School. 

The Dues for the season are as follows:
Sr. Women is $300,

The Grande Prairie Sirens look forward to a successful 2010 season and hope to see everyone on the pitch and we would like to give an ongoing thanks for the past and future support from all the media outlets in the city.
